'A Vision for North South Co-operation' - The Linen Hall Library, Belfast
Tuesday, 8th April 2025 from 11.00am to 4:30pm
North South Symposium on Education and Culture
This is the final symposium in our four-part series to look at the various implementation bodies and areas of co-operation under Strand 2 of the Belfast/Good Friday Agreement. These gave an important new framework for north-south relations. Keynote addresses will be given by Professor Tony Gallagher of the School of Education, Queen's University Belfast, and Bob Collins, former Director General of RTÉ and former Chief Commissioner of the Equality Commission and of the Arts Council of Northern Ireland. We will hear from the CEOs of the Ulster Scots Agency and Foras na Gaeilge. Other speakers will talk of their experiences in the areas of education and culture.
The Irish Association acknowledge the support of the Irish Government for this symposium through the Shared Island Initiative.
