International Women’s Day 2022
To mark International Women's Day 2022, on 14 March, The Irish Association, in partnership with the Mary Ann McCracken Foundation, hosted a hybrid event Mary Ann McCracken & Mary Alice McNeill – Their Lives & Legacies the centrepiece of which was a talk on the two women by Ruth Taillon, Vice-President of The Irish Association.
On 14 December 2021, as the restrictions associated with the COVID-19 pandemic continued to have an impact on how people gathered, a small, socially-distanced Christmas lunch was organised and addressed by former rugby international Hugo MacNeill.
Stand Up, Speak Out
On Wed 24 November 2021 we organised the online book launch of Monica McWilliam's new memoir, published by Blackstaff Press, Stand Up, Speak Out. The book was launched by former TD and Minister of State Liz O'Donnell.
